It's time to dream

FORTY years since Martin Luther King was assassinated, 45 years since his iconic speech and fully 200 years since the prohibition of slavery Barack Obama looks set to become the first black President of America.

With just hours to go till the close of polls Obama stands on the precipice of history, undaunted, unflappable and seemingly unassailable, en route to a landslide victory.

All that remains is for the votes to be counted and the celebrations to begin.
