And it's goodbye from them ...

So, after 48 years and some 3,500 episodes, Grandstand has drawn it's last breath.

In homage to the great show, some archive footage (below) - in black and white, of course!

Btw, after watching that Grandstand video I have to ask - are those the REAL lyrics behind the tune? If not it's quite clever anyway.

No idea if they're the real lyrics, or indeed if the Grandstand theme has any words accompanying it - but you're right, whoever's compiled the remix has done a fantastic job!!!
